Good follow-up starts with recording what matters

A conversation becomes more useful when your team knows the background and the next step that was agreed.
Do not rely on memory alone
After several conversations, details can blur. Soon after contact, record what matters: the reason for the conversation, the person’s situation, relevant questions and the agreed next step.
Keep information useful and current
A simple digital overview can help if it fits your work and is managed securely. As more people collaborate, shared access, clear agreements and consistent working practices become more important. Keep only information necessary for the business purpose.
Give the next person a good start
An account manager should be able to find what was discussed earlier. Information sent to a prospect and the related agreements also belong in the handover. Customers should not need to tell the same story repeatedly.
Make follow-up teamwork
At Leadhunter, our own systems connect preparation, conversation notes and follow-up requests. Clients stay informed and their account managers can pass information back to our team. The system supports collaboration; careful personal attention remains the foundation.
